Working in conjunction with SQC Architecture, we were invited to investigate and improve upon the spatial planning of the South Back of House Conservation Laboratory located at the National Museum of Australia in Acton. The main challenge of this project was ensuring that the laboratory layout was not only practical and functional, but also flexible enough to accommodate the diverse range of items which would be worked upon.

Following on from this initial task, we assisted with the development of detailed documents that captured the proposed new layout, laboratory grade finishes, custom designed joinery as well as loose furniture items and specialised equipment.
